A little sign of life in the Woolpack brook

After the worrying loss of fish in our brook a few days ago, we were delighted to spot what looks like a small eel wriggling through the water.

Could this be a little sign of life returning?

The Environment Agency has taken samples and we’re awaiting the results, so it’s too early to know what happened or whether the brook is recovering. But we’re keeping everything crossed for our precious little waterway and all the wildlife that calls it home.
